Title: Sales Service Manager - Temporary Position
Reporting To: Director of International Sales Service
Location: Ottawa, Canada
Mission: The Sales Service Manager will provide sales support in serving designated customer accounts. They will act as a liaison between the customer, manufacturing, accounting and other service departments, including sales personnel, to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing Request for Proposals
- When invitations for tender are received, the tender document is to be analyzed for such aspects as technical specifications for estimating and design purposes and manufacturing capability.
- Compose the formal tender document. Liaise with Design and Estimating Departments to ensure the timely provision of designs and estimates.
- Negotiate, agree and formalize customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor schedules toward committed delivery date.
- Arrange shipping instructions with manufacturing and customers.
- Write design specification documents for the Design Department.
- Provide timely amendments to design specifications to the Design Department.
- Negotiate, agree and formalize customer design delivery requirements.
- Monitor schedules toward committed delivery date.
- Prepare sales order for delivery to manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing with timely amendments to specifications.
- Liaise with sales, design and manufacturing to co-ordinate customer visits to reflect CBN's desired corporate image.
- Participate in visits, including assisting in transportation of guests, dinners and other activities.
- Prepare letters, faxes, proposals in accordance with the Corporate style.
- Work with the Finance department to monitor payments and debtors.
- Act as back up service to the sales representative when called upon.
- Prepare customer reports and portfolio summaries for senior CBN management and sales staff.
- Performs other duties that are consistent with the nature of the position.
- University degree in Business, International Business, related field, or an acceptable combination of experience and education
- Exposure to international business and a general interest in foreign affairs are assets.
- Experience working in customer support, contract management, project management or related field.
- Industry experienc in printing and/or integrated solution experience.
- Written and spoken fluency in French and English are essential.
- Spanish, Arabic or other languages may be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, including Power Point.
- Experience using Lotus Notes or other email packages is an asset.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Highly organized, with strong oral and written communication skills, as well as creative presentation skills.
- Able to facilitate diverse groups. interests and bring issues to resolution in compressed time frames.
- Highly motivated and self directed.
- Possess advanced analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Able to manage customer inquiries and oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of contract and order management.
- Able to work flexible hours and travel internationally, if required.
- Eligible to obtain Canadian government secret level security clearance
- Ability to work various shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays) and overtime
