As a student, you have:
- an MSc, but practical experience with tech stack and affinity with vulnerability assessment tools are most highly valued.
- Team player, able to understand, contribute to and follow elaborate processes, ethics, and good conduct in liaising with open-source and other partners
The project you will be working on:
Secura performs vulnerability assessment (VA) and pentesting (PT) projects. A lot of the work involved in this is manual. Despite the use of state-of-the-art tools by our security tester, the ‘business logic’ of a VA/PR engagement is mostly in the minds of security testers themselves. That means large engagements are very labor-intensive, and processes differ somewhat between security testers and between engagements.
At Secura’s Product Development group, we are developing an automation platform for VA that is deemed central to our company’s strategy. We have a prototype, but we are looking to expand this product in various directions to enable state-of-the-art VA, not only in terms of efficiency but also in the quality and coverage of diverse use cases.
You will work in a small, but broadly skilled and strong team. We work with modern technologies and well-defined development processes. In this assignment, you work on something very innovative.
