Do you remember 'Lektober'? In October 2011, numerous examples hit the news of websites and local government whose IT security left much to be desired. These incidents caused the DigiD-standard to be tightened up and therefore also the duty to periodically test and audit websites for compliance with the standard.
More and more, the government will communicate digitally with citizens. This is efficient and often convenient to the citizen. However, how may this communication best be kept safe, and what does it mean for the privacy of citizens?
