Inventory Management System Development
Bureau Veritas is seeking a motivated and skilled intern to independently develop a comprehensive inventory management system. The goal of this internship is to create a solution that combines physical inventory scanning and tagging with a backend server and user interface.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a physical inventory scanning and tagging system to track the location and status of all items in the inventory.
- Develop a backend server application to manage the inventory data, including check-in/check-out tracking, user permissions, and reporting.
- Create a user-friendly web-interface for inventory management, allowing users to easily view, borrow, and return items.
- Ensure the system provides detailed logs of all item check-outs, including the user, date, current status and expected return date.
- Collaborate with the Bureau Veritas team to gather requirements, test the system, and refine the design as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong programming skills in a programming language of choice.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, Flask).
- Problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with RFID, NFC or barcode scanning technologies.
- Experience with programming full-stack applications, connected to database systems.
- Past executed hardware projects.
This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing an inventory management solution, which incorporates a software solution with the hardware counterpart. While doing so, the candidate will have an opportunity to get familiar with state-of-the-art hardware hacking tools and work closely with the Bureau Veritas cybersecurity team.
