ISO SAE 21434 Deep Dive Training

ISO SAE 21434 is currently one of the hottest standards in the automotive world. This training provides you with a practical, hands-on introduction to the ISO 21434 standard, understanding the requirements and work products in scope.

What is ISO SAE 21434?

In recent years, the impact of cybersecurity on modern, connected vehicles has led to new regulatory implications for vehicle manufacturers. By 2022, vehicle manufacturers that plan to place their products in the EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and so on, need first to demonstrate compliance with the UNECE R155 regulation. This regulation will ask the vehicle manufacturers to demonstrate that cybersecurity is incorporated in their vehicle processes (for the whole life cycle) but also in the produced vehicle itself. At the same time, vehicle manufacturers need to make sure that their suppliers are also taking cybersecurity into account seriously.

ISO SAE 21434 was drafted with the main intention to help both the vehicle manufacturers and the supply chain better understand the UNECE R155 regulation requirements. The standard comes with clear requirements about the processes that need to be implemented and also with clear deliverables that need to be put in place. Therefore, it is already exhibiting a considerable interest in the automotive domain, and this is expected to constantly increase in the coming period.
