We are immensely proud to share that "The Hitchhiker's Guide to DFIR," a book that our Security Specialist, Guus Beckers, contributed to, has won the Best Book of the Year at the prestigious Forensic 4Cast DFIR Awards. The announcement was made at the SANS DFIR Summit, and we couldn't be more thrilled about this recognition.

A year ago, Guus joined a collaborative effort of both rookies and seasoned professionals in the field of Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) to create this valuable resource. He authored two pivotal chapters focusing on forensic acquisitions of data and strategies for scaling investigations, demonstrating his deep expertise and commitment to the field.

Nomination

The nomination for the Forensic 4Cast DFIR Book of the Year was already an incredible honor. Winning, however, is truly extraordinary and reflects the collaborative spirit and profound knowledge within our team and the wider DFIR community.

About Guus Beckers

Guus Beckers

A lifelong IT aficionado, Guus Beckers (1990), completed the Network Forensic Research track at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences as part of his Bachelor’s degree. In 2016, he attained his university Master’s degree at Maastricht University by completing the Forensics, Criminology and Law master’s program. Guus currently works as a Senior Security Consultant at Secura, leading the forensic team and performing penetration testing.
