UNECE Announces Formal Adoption of the Cybersecurity and Software Updates Regulations

UNECE announces formal adoption of the Cybersecurity and Software Updates Regulations.

In an official press release, UNECE announced the formal adoption of the Cybersecurity and Software Updates regulations concerning vehicle manufacturers. The regulations are set to enter into force on the 1st of January 2021. Many countries adhering to the UNECE regulations will start enforcing these regulations on new vehicle types entering their markets. In the EU, the regulations will become mandatory for new vehicle types from July 2022.

Secura has been involved in the task force drafting these regulations, as well as in several provisional pilots. We are happy to discuss further on possible ways to collaborate, including preparation support, gap analysis or compliance audits.
